Daily Affirmations For Women

When we are busy providing for everyone else’s needs, we may neglect our own for a while. Before we even become aware, this can have a negative impact on how we feel about ourselves. Having a sense of positivity and value within ourselves is always important. This is where practicing a few simple daily affirmations for women can really help.

What Is An Affirmation

A positive affirmation is a powerful statement that is repeated in written or spoken form to encourage positivity within ourselves and to help challenge any negative, recurring thoughts that may be holding us back. When we incorporate daily affirmations for women into our everyday routine, they can really help with mental attitude, a strong sense of self-worth, and build inner confidence to help us achieve our goals.

How To Use Them

I’ll be honest, they do take a bit of practice and the most important thing at first is to identify what you’d like to use daily affirmations for. This is where you can grab your journal for self-care and think about areas in your life that you may need to inject a little self-love. Affirmations are so personal and can act as a friendly reminder too.

They can be applied to any goal you want to achieve, to improving your body image or self-confidence, to taking better care of yourself. When you connect with the affirmations, you can select them to write in your journal or say aloud in the morning when you’re getting ready. It can feel a bit silly and alien at first, but the only person that is listening is you, and you’re the one that needs to hear them.

The best time to start practicing your positive affirmations is the morning when your mind is more open and clearer of negativity that can grow and fester throughout the day. You could pick five or so within an area of focus, repeat them in the mirror then jot them down and repeat aloud, or read to yourself throughout the day. Be realistic, think of what you’d like to achieve, and keep in the present tense. This is where statements that start with ‘I am’ can work really well.

You could also attach to one of your tiny habits. For example, every time you brush your teeth or wash your face, repeat your chosen daily affirmations. Here are a few (by category) to help get you started:

  1. This is such a great introduction to affirmations! And a very honest one too. It seems like a very personal process indeed. We benefit the most when we choose or create affirmation that are personally relevant and a reflection of what we think we need to focus on. Thank you for pointing that out and for giving us so many good suggestions on how to put them in practise 💜
